In 1996 Wim started his own interim management & consultancy firm Bens & Partners.
From 2003 until 2010 he founded and was Managing Director / director knowledge valorization of the Eindhoven University of Technology / TU/e Innovation Lab (the TTO of TU/e). In this role he had overall responsibility for all knowledge transfer activities of the University, including all collaborations and contracts with industry (large multinationals and small and medium sized enterprises) and all subsidy programmes of the University.
Currently, Wim is, on a part time basis, fulfilling the role of CEO of UM Holding. The Maastricht University Holding holds all strategic investments, joint ventures and participations of UM, including the four Brightlands campuses.
Wim’s specialisations are in the field of Open Innovation, (New) Business Development, Commercial Strategy & Account Management, Knowledge Valorization and Setting up New Businesses.
